Amelie

Amelie

Good place for colourful lunches:  simple salads and a few hot dishes too sitting in the garden space outside (white tables very bright in the sun!), olive trees.  Yummy pastries too.   A bit of an oasis in the midst of Chichester.  Changed hands in 2012.

Amelie's in North Street, Chichester. "Delicious varitety of small dishes - or should that be a variety of small, delicious dishes?  Excellent staff.  No music.  Modest prices.  We'll be back.  We went on night they closed at 7pm - ideal for pre-theatre"

Comments from guests 2012:
"This is an excellent place to eat before a trip to the theatre.  Menu was interesting and our meals were delicious, if quite expensive.  Staff were lovely"

"Early dinner before the theatre.  Excellent meal - pea and mint risotto - sensible portions"

"Friendly new owner, very stylish inside.  Evening opening now with good menu (3 choices only for each starter, main and pud).  Enjoyed the food which was beautifully presented.  Could have done with slightly bigger portions."

"Everyone who worked here was very friendly and offered to jiggle the lunch time menu around to give more veggie choice - absolutely delicious.  The whole meal was a real treat.  It was the most expensive meal we had out, but it really was special."

Open early, close at 7pm except for Thurs, Fri and Saturday when later:
